The best way to discover and explore the World Heritage Lamington and Springbrook National Park, is our two day one night Jungle Camp!
Spend one night in the rainforest of Lamington National Park. What Creatures venture out at night? With torch in hand see the nocturnal wildlife not seen during the day! The essence of a good camp is the campfire! Sit around our evening fire and exchange stories with guests and guide. Wake up to the song and beautiful sounds of rainforest birds. Enjoy our warming morning breakfast.... made even better with the morning smells of the rainforest.
The day starts with a scenic drive up to the Lamington Plateau. Enjoy morning tea overlooking the Numinbah Valley from Binna Burra.
Our first walk of the day is a 6km Subtropical Rainforest rack which takes us to the Gwongarool Pool in the Coomera Creek. Enjoy a refreshing dip in this picturesque mountain stream. Your guide provides you with an insight into these ancient forests.
Time for a fresh picnic lunch, prepared by your tour guide
Our second walk is the Bellbird Circuit to Bellbird Lookout. Set stride and spot a wallaby or two. We view Egg Rock and learn how this area has formed. What geological process has created the dramatic landscape? With fantastic views back to the coast and all the way to Moreton Bay, stand on the edge of a 90m cliff and view the rainforest from above. Try to beat the record of 13 people inside the giant Black Butt Tree.
Day two we take a scenic drive to Springbrook National park. Our first stop for the day is Natural Arch, a short walk to the geolgical formation of Natural Arch and the cave behind the falls.
Next we head further up the plateau to the Canyon Lookout, with great views over the coast. From this piont a 4km circuit takes us under Twin Falls and Blackfellow Falls. Your guide will provide some interesting insights into the rainforest and the wildlife you encounter.
After lunch at Purlingbrook Falls, we head up to the Best-of-all Lookouts. Here stands 2000 yr old Antarctic Beech trees and we stand on the edge of the Tweed Shield Volcano. An awesome sight!
To finish up our days activities we head to the GROTTO! In the darkness that the GROTTO holds within, a unique phenomenon takes place. Bioluminescence! What is it.... and why do the worms glow?
Two days and one night packed with mystery and insight to the World Heritage - Central Eastern Rainforest Reserves.
Tour includes all meals, National Park Fees, Bush Camp Accommodation, experienced guide!
